A lot of unravelling

I had started some cotton socks for Damien but I made them too big even for bed socks and I only decided halfway through the first sock and I had done ribbing for 15 cms ..but what could I do with it?

I am also a quarter way done on a scarf for me..nothing spesh..just acrylic yarn (yeh I know its yuck) but I just wanted something I could toss around my neck on days when I have to hang out the washing and wash with everything else.

I think I may start on another pair of longies as I had just now out the finishing touches on the "moonlight" ones for Lil. I jus bought new lanolin spray called lavender, apple and oak and it smells like Damien's aftershave.

Quick Poncho

Using 10mm bamboo straight needles..acrylic mohair and double knitting yarn acrylic. I dont know if it was the cheapo needles or the acrylic but knitting this made my skin crawl..so thankfully it only took a couple of hrs to knit or I would chucked it. I put needs on the front dangle but cant see it on the pic.

Longies finished!

I binded off too tightly and there are plenty of mistakes but I am still really happy with them..think I might embellish them as well when I figure out how to do swiss darning :)

On the needles..

I am attempting my first pair of longies..leaving off the short rows lol..Lil doesnt need them anyway.
I am using hand painted merino called "moonlight" from theknittery.com.au The wool is a dream to knit with and I absolutely love the colourway. Its seems to be striping beautifully. I am quite annoyed that i am still making mistakes..and to make it worse...not discover them till its too late and the only option is to unravel..I made a few mistakes on the ribbing..wont be the first and certainly will not be the last..

Yummy Dyelicious!

Mmmm I am absolutely drooling at this wool which arrived today from Dyelicious. From left: Tropicana handspun, splice and my custom desire .

Felted Bag almost Complete!

I am quite happy at how it turned out. I was so eager to finish it that I was in the laundry at 1am felting it with Damien's old king gee work pants LOL. They felted beautifully and hide many flaws. Mon proided me with a couple of pretty buttons as a fastening. You can still see the texture of my backwards knitting which looks ok. I should have made the handles thicker or left them off and sewn handles on..necxt back I make I want to do in a glittery black...like a clutch purse cause I need one of those for going out.
